module 3

"We are all here on earth to help others. What I can't figure out is what the others are here for."
-W. H. Auden-. Discuss.

When God created human being one’s purpose is already written in his hands, it’s up to the person how to find and realize his/her purpose in life. Talking about the line of W. H. Auden, it is true that we are all here on Earth to help others, and others are here to serve their own purposes in life. They are also here on Earth to help us when we needed them. Because according to somebody “Nobody is poor enough not to help ad nobody is rich enough that doesn’t need help”. We cannot tell what others are really here for until they found out their own purpose in life and be able to extend their purposes to the people around them especially to those people who are in need.

Ethical egoists think that people will be happiest if they look out for themselves and not concern themselves with others but is this where true human happiness lies? Discuss.
One must learn to help others without expecting something in return or without hidden agenda since there are people who really do something that make them happy even if it hurt the people around them but not literally hurt them but do something at the back of their heads; one good example of this are the businessmen who wish to help people because they will earn big, but if they won’t earn from you, they will be hesitant to help you or will not help you. Thus, the happiness that they seek is self-happiness. We must learn that real happiness is not happiness until you give it away to the people around you, because according to F. Emerson Andrews "Happiness, it is said, is seldom found by those who seek it, and never by those who seek it for themselves." If we want true happiness let us seek it for others. Because human happiness lies to the feeling of contentment or happiness after doing something good to your fellowmen that makes them happy, and the by product is happiness and total happiness of the humanity.
"If you want happiness for an hour ? take a nap.
If you want happiness for a day ? go fishing.
If you want happiness for a year ? inherit a fortune.
If you want happiness for a lifetime ? help someone else."
-Chinese Proverb-

What are the roots of egoism? Where does it come from? What do egotistical people FEAR?????

People who are ethical egoist think only for themselves, they don’t even care about others; this egoism starts from insecurity and selfishness, because if one is insecure they are afraid that people may surpass what they have achieved in life that is where selfishness arises. What they really fear is that if there is someone who will be able to surpass them or achieved something that is close to them or greater from what they achieved. That is why they don’t want to share their blessings and are hesitant to help other people who are in need.
“Happiness is like jam. You can't spread even a little without getting some on yourself.”
-Anonymous-
But we must not misinterpret it. The importance is the happiness of the humanity. Because if everyone is happy, there is no way for you not be happy.
