There are 4 types of non-jural law. Divine, natural, moral and physical. If
you are to practice just one type of the non-jural law for the entire existence
of your life, what would it be and why?

If I were to practice just one type of non-jural law for the entire existence of my life it might be the Divine law, in the sense that this non-jural law covers already the natural law, moral law and physical law. Because the foundation of moral law is the ten commandments, and moral law is a “rule about right and wrong" commonly known to all human beingsso basically it just follow the Divine law. On the other hand, Natural laws are those that are believed to be the morally righteous laws believed to have been the will of a greater power than humans. This does not necessarily mean that it is the will of God; rather it means that these laws are above the human ability to create them but it is also in accordance with the Divine law.
As I remember a teaching from my church, God has summarized his 10 commandments into 2 commandments, first: “Love God above all things”, and second: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself”, so if I will follow this, I’m also following the moral law, which is doing good, and I also am respecting the rights of every individual in living in this world.

According to the definition of ethics, it can be connected to the norms or custom of the society. What could be ethical to one could be unethical to another. If this is the case, in which ethics seem to be subjective in nature, why is there a need to study computer ethics at all? Support your opinion with facts.

Even if the word “ethical” varies from place to place, there is still a need to study computer ethics because this course serves a guideline to all computer science students, because we are sometimes mislead due to external forces-forces from the society. We really need this course especially nowadays that pornography invade some of the networking sites, specifically facebook, if only people are properly guided and were exposed to computer ethics we don’t have the hard time controlling the wide spread of pornographic pictures and videos. We must be strict enough like in the United States the focus has been largely on controlling pornography over the Internet. And according to the news I’ve read that the administrators of the networking site- facebook are planning to ban Filipino users from using the said site due to high increase in pornography, they also found out that this high rate of pornography is from the country Philippines. We don’t have to wait for that time, because we all know that facebook is of great help to all of us in many ways, we just have to be responsible enough, responsible for everything that we do.

If you are to become a part of the VSU team who will formulate a handbook like that of Virginia University, give at least 2 policies that you want to be implemented in VSU or even just for CS students like you, regarding computing . Also include sanction or sort of punishment to those who will violate the said policy.

If I were to become part of VSU team who will formulate a handbook like that of Virginia University, the two policies that I want to implement in VSU for CS students are:
I.             Trying an illegal access and editing school’s database is strictly prohibited.
Sanction: Expulsion from the university.
II.          Changing technical settings of any computer like setting a password that will not allow anybody to access the said computer except for him/her.
Sanction: Suspension for 2 weeks.

If I were a machine, what would I be and Why?
If I were given a chance to become a machine, I would be a ventilator rather than a computer, cellphone, and other machines which give the people convenience in communication and any other field.
A ventilator is a machine which forces air into the lungs of a patient who cannot breathe on her own. A ventilator also may be used during treatment for a serious lung disease or other condition that affects normal breathing. Some people may need to use ventilators long term or for the rest of their lives. In these cases, the machines can be used outside of the hospital—in long-term care facilities or at home.
I chose ventilator and be part of the health technology because I value life above all things, since we’ve got only one life to live, and life is the most precious gift from God. I want to save life; if not save at least I was able to sustain life even a little while, this is one way of giving chance to those people who are struggling and doing their best in order to live.
Let’s value our life. We are fortunate enough that we are able to wake up every day, compare to those who wasn’t able to do so because life is taken away from them. Let us be respect the gift of life and not do anything that can lead us to death. I just want to touch the hearts of those people who wants to end their lives; we are blessed because even if we do not want to live anymore, still God has given us another day, another day to look back and repent and do.
I know that there are people who want to end their lives because of some problems, frustrations, and other misfortune in life. But we must learn to handle these challenges with a strong heart. Because God will not give us problems that we cannot solve. And always remember that even if how big we consider our problems are, still GOD remains bigger than our problems.
Let us bear in our minds that “the importance of something is often realized when it is done”            , let’s not wait for that time that we are in a situation in which we need fight in order to survive. “Let’s not take life for granted”.

If I were to develop a program to promote moral values, what program would I do and Why?
If I were to develop a program to promote moral values, this program is a program that will determine if a person is lying by answering different questions, this is so because of my past experiences. Since there are people who are fun of making lies because for them it’s just nothing. One good example of this is my father, I'm not ashamed because I came from a reunited family, we were once a broken family because of those lies that my father made. He said to my mother that there is no other woman, but sad to say there were lots of them, if only my father tell the truth at that time, then he should have saved our family from falling apart instead he stand still with his lies. That's why I do practice telling the truth because I don't want to hurt others anymore and I don't want to wait for the time that I might hurt the one I love because of lying. I don't want it to happen.

What would I like to be 5 years from now?
Studying in Visayas State University and taking up Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is not really my own choice. But as time goes by I’ve learned to love this course and understand why I’m here, and it’s for a purpose and I’m so thankful to God for bringing me here.
In my four years stay in this university I met lot of people; my friends the paknos family, my YFC family, my TARSIER family, my CSSS family, my CSS family and more. I’ve also learned that staying in this university is not only for the purpose of getting a passing grade during exams and getting a diploma after graduation, but this stage of my life is also searching for truth; if what are really my ambitions in life, my passion, and my happiness, and of course who really is Jessel P. Beray after five years? It’s hard to decide things and my future.
Even if I’m into studying the said course for four years straight, it doesn’t mean that I will really engaged in to programming after graduation. I’m not saying that it’s not important to me, but it’s difficult to do things if it is not your passion. And as of now I’m happy into making business, and dealing with different people with the help of what I have learned in this course, the Networking. Most probably I will be a successful business woman five years from now.
But the teachings from my instructors and my friends will always remain in my heart as I face the real world. I’m so blessed that I become a part of this institution.
